Delete your Kosmotheka account

Last updated: 16 October 2026

If you created a Kosmotheka account (on the official server, kosmotheka.app), you can delete it with all its data whenever you want. There are two ways.

From the app

  1. Open Settings › Cloud and account.
  2. Tap Delete account and confirm with your password (or with the code we email you, if you sign in with Google) and, if you turned it on, with two-step verification.

It is deleted straight away.

Without the app: write to us

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, write to privacy@kosmotheka.com with the subject “Delete my Kosmotheka account”, from the account’s email address, so we know it is yours. We delete it within 30 days at most and let you know when it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your account: email address, name, password and two-step verification.
  • The list of devices connected to the account, and their sessions.
  • The libraries you uploaded to the cloud that only you used.

What stays

  • Libraries you share with other people stay in the cloud for them: they pass to another account that has access. What you noted down in them (your reading, for example) is part of that library and stays there.
  • The activity log (what was done, when and from which IP address, with no catalogue content) is kept until it is one year old and then deleted automatically. It keeps the service secure.
  • What is on your devices is not touched: your libraries stay on them and the app works without an account.
